Patrick appeared in 23 games with 20 starts over the past two seasons with Chicago. The 30-year-old was the team's starting center for almost the entire 2023 campaign, but he ended the year on IR due to an unspecified calf injury. While the nature of this issue was never revealed, Patrick now appears to be healthy again. He should now provide depth along the interior of New Orleans' offensive line.

Jefferson was one of 26 players brought in on a tryout basis during Tampa Bay's rookie minicamp Friday and Saturday. The 5-foot-10 running back played at four different schools during his collegiate career, beginning at Maine in 2017. He spent his final two seasons with Kentucky after a standout stint at FCS Sam Houston, where he logged 1,907 yards on 299 carries across two years. However, he finished with just 28 rushes for 184 yards across 11 games with the Wildcats in 2023.

Lions' Kaden Davis: Joining Detroit
11h agoThe Lions are signing Davis to a contract after he attended rookie camp on a tryout basis, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Davis was waived by the Cardinals in late April after spending most of last year on the team's practice squad. He was active for one contest during the campaign but didn't see any snaps. The 25-year-old will get a shot to compete for a roster spot among a WR corps that is headed by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu NYJ OT
Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
12h agoFashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
1d agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly met with both the Falcons and Steelers recently in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

Zack Gelof OAK 2B
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Plays full rehab game again
3m agoGelof (oblique) played a full game at second base in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Sunday, going 0-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk.
Gelof's ability to play a full game for the second straight day is certainly an encouraging sign for his progress from his oblique injury. The young infielder could be on the verge of activation, although the Athletics will undoubtedly evaluate him carefully Monday to see how he's responded to the back-to-back full workloads over the weekend.

Miles Mikolas STL SP
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Victorious in quality outing
5m agoMikolas (3-5) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Brewers.
It looked like Mikolas would be chased early after Milwaukee plated three runs in the first inning. Instead, he settled in for a quality start and only allowed one Brewer to reach scoring position over the next five frames. He now has four quality starts through nine outings this season, with two coming in his last three appearances. Mikolas forced just four whiffs Sunday and hasn't reached double digits in any start this year. He'll carry a 6.19 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to be at home against Boston.
-

14m agoHelsley struck out two batters in a perfect inning and earned a save over Milwaukee on Sunday.

-
Jake Cronenworth SD 1B
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Goes back-to-back in first inning
15m agoCronenworth went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.
Cronenworth got things started for the Padres by going back-to-back with Fernando Tatis off Walker Buehler in the opening inning. He went hitless the rest of the afternoon but continues to be one of the Padres' best bats. He had a 12-game hit streak that came to an end Friday and has been showing increased power early on. His .503 slug percentage is fourth among all first basemen and is a significant personal improvement after averaging a .384 slug over his last two seasons. For the year, Cronenworth is now slashing .285/.349/.503 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 20 runs and a 14:27 BB:K in 169 plate appearances.

Mets' Brandon Nimmo: Hits walk-off homer Sunday
16m agoNimmo (ribs) did not start Sunday night's game against Atlanta, but entered the game late and subsequently hit a walk-off homer in his only at-bat.
During the broadcast, Nimmo was interviewed by the Sunday night ESPN crew and said that he expects to return Monday against the Phillies. To reinforce that point, Nimmo had two catches in left field in the eighth inning before his homer in the ninth. Unless he unwittingly aggravated his injury in the process, Nimmo should be good to go for the upcoming week.
-
Isaiah Hartenstein NY C
Knicks' Isaiah Hartenstein: Suffered minor injury in loss
23m agoHartenstein suffered a minor shoulder injury in Sunday's loss, but he should be good to go for Game 5, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.

Following the game, Hartenstein stated he may have pinched a nerve in his shoulder, but reassured that he is fine. Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Available for Game 4
5h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Murray has been dealing with a calf injury throughout the series and is yet to miss a game, so it isn't surprising to see him shed another questionable tag. After struggling in the first two games of the series, Murray bounced back in Game 3 with a 24-point outing on solid efficiency, and he will look to carry that momentum over to Sunday's matchup.
-
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Available Sunday
5h agoCaldwell-Pope (abdomen) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
Caldwell-Pope was deemed questionable ahead of gametime due to a right abdominal contusion, but he will suit up for Sunday's matchup. Battling through the same injury in Game 3, Caldwell-Pope logged 37 minutes, so he should be in for a full workload Sunday.
-

Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Good to go
5h agoJackson (calf) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Jackson will overcome a second consecutive questionable tag to suit up for Sunday's matchup. Jackson has had a limited presence this series as he has battled injury, averaging just 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes through three games.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Solid outing in loss
1h agoSwayman made 38 saves on 41 shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 4.
Swayman was stellar Sunday night but it wasn't enough as Boston was heavily outplayed by Florida in the loss. The 25-year-old netminder was provided with a two-goal lead in the first period before the Panthers scored three unanswered goals over the final two frames. Swayman and the Bruins find themselves on the brink of elimination heading back to Florida for Game 5 on Tuesday. Overall this postseason, the Boston goaltender has a 5-5 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .931 save percentage.

It was another light workload in net for the Russian netminder -- this was the third consecutive matchup that Boston has failed to top 18 shots on goal. Bobrovsky was beaten twice in the first period but kept the door shut over the final 40 minutes of the contest. It's also the third straight game that the 35-year-old goaltender has allowed two goals or less. Overall this postseason, Bobrovsky is 7-2 with a 2.55 GAA and an .892 save percentage. Game 5 of this series is Tuesday in Florida.
