4h agoDorsett signed with the Broncos on Monday after being released on Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
The wide receiver spent 2023 with Denver's practice squad, played in two games and didn't catch any of his three targets. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has appeared in four games during his time in the league, recording 11 total tackles while playing 108 total snaps (86 defensive and 22 on special teams). He's expected to compete for a backup role on the Panthers' defense as the offseason advances.

Jared Goff DET QB
Lions' Jared Goff: Lands four-year, $212M extension
6h agoThe Lions signed Goff to a four-year, $212 million contract extension Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The deal contains $170 million guaranteed, and Goff is now the highest-paid player in Lions franchise history. The 2016 No. 1 overall pick of the Rams, Goff was acquired from Los Angeles in the Matthew Stafford haul prior to the 2021 season and has resurrected his career under Detroit OC Ben Johnson. In three seasons with Detroit, Goff has completed 66.5 percent of his passes, up from 63.4 percent with Los Angeles, and has thrown for 12,258 yards with a splendid 78:27 TD:INT mark. He's lowered his turnover rate with Detroit and just helped lead the team to the NFC Championship Game last season. Goff is still just 29 years old and is locked in with the Lions for at least the next few seasons.

Edwin Diaz NYM RP
Mets' Edwin Diaz: Struggles in blown save
1m agoDiaz blew the save Monday against Philadelphia, allowing two runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batter. He had one strikeout over one inning.
Diaz looked extremely unsettled Monday night, issuing his first free passes since April 20, ending a streak of eight walk-free innings. Even more indicative of his unsteady control, the Mets closer allowed the tying run to score by beaning Alec Bohm with the bases loaded. Despite the ugly outing Monday, Diaz is cemented as the Mets closer with his ERA standing at 3.24 over 16.2 innings.
-
Mitch Keller PIT SP
Pirates' Mitch Keller: Fans seven in win
3m agoKeller (4-3) allowed eight hits over six shutout frames Monday, striking out seven and earning a win over Milwaukee.

He forced 13 whiffs -- his second-best total so far this season -- and threw 71 of 100 pitches for strikes. Of those 13, seven came via the fastball, which averaged 95.2 mph. Keller has seemingly turned a corner after a shaky opening month; he's allowed just one run while posting a 12:1 K:BB over 15 frames in his last two starts. Keller will carry a 3.93 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be on the road against the Cubs this weekend.

-
Sean Manaea NYM SP
Mets' Sean Manaea: Quality in no-decision
6m agoManaea did not factor into the decision Monday against the Phillies, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.
With his effort Monday night, Manaea secured his second straight quality start of six innings, lowering his season ERA to 3.05 over 41.1 innings. Even more encouragingly, the Mets lefty issued only one walk for his second consecutive start after issuing multiple free passes in all his previous six starts. He is slated to face the Marlins on the road in his next start this weekend.
-
Otto Lopez MIA 2B
Marlins' Otto Lopez: Homers again
7m agoLopez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Monday against the Tigers.

Lopez has played 17 games this season totaling 32 at-bats, hitting .313 with three homers, six RBI, eight runs and a steal. Lopez has displayed a nice hit tool throughout his seven-year rise through the minors, topping .300 in three separate seasons, but the recent power surge is not consistent with his expected profile.

LeVert got the starting nod with the Cavaliers playing without Jarrett Allen (ribs) and Donovan Mitchell (calf), providing a lift offensively while ending one point shy of the 20-point mark in a losing effort. LeVert has been a key player coming off the bench for Cleveland this series, posting 15 or more points in three of the four games against Boston. If Mitchell is able to return for Game 5, look for LeVert to return to the second unit to be a spark off the bench. If Mitchell does miss Game 5, LeVert will be called upon again to step into the starting lineup.

Noah Juulsen will probably replace Soucy in the lineup for Game 4 against Edmonton on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Soucy has four assists, zero shots on goal, nine blocked shots and 27 hits in nine contests this postseason.
