Jha'Quan Jackson 2005 WR
Titans' Jha'Quan Jackson: Provides pass-catching depth in TEN
2m agoThe Titans selected Jackson in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 182nd overall.
Tennessee revamped its wide receiver corps this offseason with the addition of Calvin Ridley, who will pair with DeAndre Hopkins to dominate targets. After that duo, things are a bit murky, but Jackson isn't particularly likely to fill the void. He's undersized and not impressive athletically -- aside from his 4.42 40-yard dash time -- which limited him to the slot while at Tulane. He could be competing with Kyle Philips for a roster spot in training camp, as the duo overlap both in their role as slot receiver and also as an option to return punts.

Kimani Vidal 2005 RB
Chargers' Kimani Vidal: Tremendous landing spot with Bolts
7m agoThe Chargers selected Vidal in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 181st overall.
After a litany of RBs went off the board in both the fourth and fifth round, Vidal represents one of the few remaining backs capable of carving out a sizable role in an offense, and he couldn't have landed in a better situation than Los Angeles. While both Gus Edwards, and J.K. Dobbins (knee) if healthy, are a more reliable duo, Vidal was a true workhorse for Troy over the past three seasons registering over 3,500 rushing yards including a Sun Belt leading 1,661 last season. At 5-foot-8, 213 pounds Vidal's stout frame and supreme balance mask what was a fine, but not stellar 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. The 22-year-old doesn't have the prospect profile of someone like Isaiah Spiller, but it'd be a surprise at this point if Vidal doesn't at minimum push for one of the final roster spots, and possibly replace the disappointing 2022 fourth-round pick down the road.
-
Darius Muasau 2005 LB
Giants' Darius Muasau: Big Apple bound in Round 6
7m agoThe Giants selected Muasau in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 183rd overall.
Muasau began his college career at Hawaii before transferring to UCLA for this final two seasons. He started all 26 times during his time as a Bruin, racking up 166 tackles in those campaigns. He's undersized at just under 6-foot and 225 pounds but he has 4.70 speed to hunt down ball-carriers. Muasau projects as a depth piece behind Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden in the middle of the Giants' linebacking corps.
-
Marcellas Dial 2005 CB
Patriots' Marcellas Dial: New England lands in sixth round
7m agoThe Patriots selected Dial in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 180th overall.
Dial didn't have much hype as a prospect but he's a three-year starter from a strong South Carolina pass defense and at 6-feet, 190 pounds he has very good athletic traits. Dial's 4.47-second 40-yard dash is solid but when you account for his reach (32-inch arms) and jumps (40.5-inch vertical, 129-inch broad jump) it's clear that Dial is one of the toolsiest corners in the draft. The Patriots will hope to refine those tools and presumably look to turn Dial into a press-heavy corner on the boundary.
-
Logan Lee 2005 DL
Steelers' Logan Lee: Headed to Pittsburgh
10m agoThe Steelers selected Lee in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 178th overall.
Lee fit in perfectly with Iowa during his collegiate career, as he's known primarily for his toughness and work ethic. He played defensive tackle for the Hawkeyes, though he's undersized for the position in the pros at 281 pounds. His fit defensively is thus unclear, but he blocked a pair of kicks in college and could land a roster spot as a special teams ace.
-
Sataoa Laumea 2005 IOL
Seahawks' Sataoa Laumea: Adds guard depth in Seattle
13m agoThe Seahawks selected Laumea in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 179th overall.
Seattle adds to its offensive line again with the Laumea pick, joining Connecticut's Christian Haynes. Laumea starred at both right tackle and right guard at Utah, earning First- and Second-Team All-PAC-12 honors. He projects better at guard as his ability in space off the edge was considered suspect.

Matt Vierling DET CF
Tigers' Matt Vierling: Won't start Saturday
10m agoVierling is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Vierling has started in each of the Tigers' last six games, going 6-for-21 with three runs, one double and one triple over that span. Against Royals right-hander Brady Singer, the Tigers will start lefty-hitting Zach McKinstry at third base.
-
Parker Meadows DET CF
Tigers' Parker Meadows: Sitting against righty
14m agoMeadows is not in the Tigers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Meadows will get a rest day Saturday after starting in each of the Tigers' last seven games. He has struggled over that span, going 2-for-24 with three runs and a solo home run while striking out 12 times. The switch-hitting Wenceel Perez will start at center field Saturday and bat third against Royals right-hander Brady Singer.
-
Nick Pivetta BOS SP
Red Sox's Nick Pivetta: Rehab start Thursday
31m agoPivetta (elbow) is pencilled in to make a rehab start Thursday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
He threw 50 pitches in a live batting practice session Saturday, so Pivetta may only need one rehab outing before rejoining the big-league rotation. If he does return after Thursday's rehab start, Pivetta would line up to start in the two-game series in Atlanta on either May 8 or May 9.
-
Andy Ibanez DET 3B
Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Continuing rehab assignment
1h agoIbanez (hamstring) will start at second base for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Ibanez has played two games in Triple-A as part of his rehab assignment, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and one RBI over that span. If all goes well in that stint, Ibanez could be available for the Tigers' next series against the Cardinals starting Monday.
-
Carson Kelly DET C
Tigers' Carson Kelly: Won't start, but available Saturday
1h agoKelly (ribs) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Kelly was scratched ahead of Friday's game against Kansas City due to left ribcage soreness. While Kelly won't start Saturday, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that the backup catcher is available for the contest, per Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic.
-
Ryan Noda OAK 1B
Athletics' Ryan Noda: Not starting Saturday
1h agoNoda is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.
Noda will begin Saturday's game in the dugout with the Orioles sending out southpaw Cole Irvin. It marks the third game in a row that Noda hasn't started, though he did pinch hit in each of the Athletics' last two games. Abraham Toro will start at first base Saturday and bat fifth.
-
Kawhi Leonard LAC SF
Clippers' Kawhi Leonard: Will be questionable for Game 4
16m agoLeonard (knee) will be questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Mavericks, head coach Tyronn Lue told Joey Linn of SI.com.
Leonard logged 25 minutes in Friday's Game 3 loss, finishing with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two assists, but he didn't look as fluid in his movements as he did in Game 2, where he was able to play 35 minutes while pouring 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals. His official status will be determined closer to Sunday's 3.30 p.m. ET tipoff, but if he's ruled out, then Terance Mann and Amir Coffey would be in line to pick up extra minutes.
-
Luke Kornet BOS C
Celtics' Luke Kornet: Available to play Saturday
21m agoKornet (calf) is available for Saturday's game against the Heat.
The availability of Kornet means the Celtics will be at full strength for Game 3 of the series against the Heat. Kornet should see minutes off the bench, though he's likely to have a very limited role with both Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford available.
-
Delon Wright MIA SG
Heat's Delon Wright: Out Saturday
2h agoWright (personal) will not play in Saturday's Game 3 matchup with the Celtics, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
Wright came back too earth in Game 2 following a big performance in the first game of the series versus Boston. He will now be sidelined until at least Game 4. In his absence, Patty Mills and Duncan Robinson could see a slightly bigger workload.
-
Damian Lillard MIL PG
Bucks' Damian Lillard: Game 4 in doubt
4h agoLillard suffered a strained Achilles in Friday's loss to the Pacers and there is serious doubt over his availability for Game 4 on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Lillard was able to return to Game 3 after suffering the injury and finished the contest with 28 points (6-20 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 12-12 FT), eight assists, three steals and one rebound over 45 minutes. Final confirmation on his status Sunday will presumably come closer to game time. AJ Green, Andre Jackson and Malik Beasley would all be candidates to see increased minutes alongside Patrick Beverley in the backcourt should Lillard indeed need to sit out.
-
Mitchell Robinson NY C
Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Does not practice Saturday
4h agoRobinson (ankle) was a non-participant at Saturday's practice, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Robinson was seen wearing a walking boot on his sprained left ankle following an early exit in Thursday's 125-114 loss to the 76ers. He had accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 FT) and seven rebounds across 12 minutes before leaving. His absence from Saturdays' practice is not a good sign for his status for Sunday's Game 4, but the team has not ruled the big man out. If he ultimately does not get the green light, Precious Achiuwa figures to serve as the primary backup behind Isaiah Hartenstein.
-
Devin Booker PHO SG
Suns' Devin Booker: Delivers eight dimes in Game 3 loss
6h agoBooker accumulated 23 points (8-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 42 minutes during Friday's 126-109 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Booker finished just two assists away from recording a double-double in Game 3, and the star guard will need to be at his best Sunday if the Suns want to avoid getting swept in the first round. Booker's scoring numbers have increased with each passing game in the series, though this was the first time he surpassed the 20-point plateau.
-
Brenden Dillon WPG D
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Questionable for Sunday
8m agoDillon didn't receive any muscle or tendon damage as a result of the skate cut to his hand, which occurred during a scrum at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3. Although it's great news that he didn't suffer a more serious injury, the 33-year-old defenseman did require stitches and remains questionable for Game 4 versus the Avalanche on Sunday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Saturday.
Dillon has three assists, four PIM, 12 hits and six blocks while averaging 21:04 of ice time across three playoff contests this year. He also accumulated eight goals, 20 points, 92 PIM, 241 hits and 111 blocks in 77 regular-season outings. If Dillon is forced to miss any action due to the injury, then Logan Stanley will likely draw into the lineup.
-
Derek Forbort BOS D
Bruins' Derek Forbort: Removed from LTIR
1h agoForbort (undisclosed) was activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Forbort sat out the final 20 games of the regular season and Boston's first three playoff contests. He will be an option to play in Game 4 against Toronto on Saturday, but it wouldn't be surprising if he served as a healthy scratch. The 32-year-old blueliner earned four assists, 22 shots on goal, 65 blocked shots and 68 hits in 35 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Sergei Bobrovsky FLA G
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Facing Lightning
2h agoBobrovsky will be between the visiting pipes in Tampa Bay on Saturday in Game 4, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Bobrovsky has been solid in net to help the Panthers take a 3-0 stranglehold on the best-of-seven series. He has allowed seven goals on 71 shots (.901 save percentage) against the Lightning in the opening round. Bobrovsky also had a stellar regular season, going 37-22-6 with a 2.42 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Florida can advance to the second round of the playoffs with a victory in Game 4.
-
Logan Thompson LV G
Golden Knights' Logan Thompson: Set to start Saturday
2h agoThompson is expected to start at home in Game 3 against Dallas on Saturday, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Thompson has helped Vegas win the opening two games of the first-round series by stopping 46 of 50 shots (.920 save percentage). That's part of a larger hot streak in which he's posted a 2.12 GAA and a .925 save percentage over his past 13 appearances. Dallas ranked third offensively in the regular season with 3.59 goals per contest, so the Stars shouldn't be taken lightly, even after being defeated by Vegas twice.
-
Mason Marchment DAL LW
Stars' Mason Marchment: Game-time decision Saturday
2h agoPer Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News, Marchment (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against Vegas on Saturday in Game 3, according to coach Peter DeBoer.
Marchment was injured in the third period Wednesday and did not return. Marchment set career highs in goals (22) and assists (31) over 81 regular-season contests in 2023-24. Should he be unable to go, Mavrik Bourque could enter the lineup.
-
Radek Faksa DAL C
Stars' Radek Faksa: Game-time call Saturday
2h agoFaksa (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Saturday for Game 3 against the Golden Knights, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Faksa has yet to record a point in the playoffs after posting seven goals and 19 points in the regular season. If Faksa ultimately can't suit up, Ty Dellandrea would likely slot into the lineup in a bottom-six role.
