Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
4m agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released with details or more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
6m agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point, or else his 2024 season would come to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
3h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
19h agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.
-
Je'Quan Burton 2005 WR
Dolphins' Je'Quan Burton: Headed to Miami
19h agoThe Dolphins signed Burton on Friday.
As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Burton hauled in 24 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Miami's wide receiver depth chart will be tough to crack for any undrafted rookie ahead of 2024.
-
Jalen Camp CAR WR
Jalen Camp: Gets waived by Carolina
20h agoThe Panthers waived Camp on Friday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Camp did not see the field in 2023, and after Carolina added talent at wide receiver in the draft, it opted to cut him. He'll now have to search for another chance with a different franchise.

Nick Senzel WAS DH
Nationals' Nick Senzel: Sitting against another righty
6m agoSenzel is not in Saturday's lineup against the Red Sox.
He will sit for a second day in a row with the Nationals facing a righty, and on both occasions Victor Robles picked up the start in the outfield with Jesse Winker sliding to designated hitter. Senzel is hitting .214 with a 42.4 percent strikeout rate in 28 at-bats this month.
-
Kyle Schwarber PHI DH
Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Sitting Saturday as expected
10m agoSchwarber (back) will sit for Saturday's game against the Marlins, as expected.
He left Friday's game in the ninth inning with a sore back and told reporters he'd probably take Saturday off, which is indeed the case. Cristian Pache draws the start in left field with Whit Merrifield starting at third base and Alec Bohm getting the nod at designated hitter.
-
Tim Anderson MIA SS
Marlins' Tim Anderson: Scratched with back tightness
17m agoAnderson was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Phillies with lower-back tightness, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Vidal Brujan will shift to shortstop while Otto Lopez enters the lineup at second base.
-
Garrett Whitlock BOS SP
Red Sox's Garrett Whitlock: Starting rehab assignment Wednesday
23m agoWhitlock (oblique) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
Whitlock was placed on the 15-day IL on April 17 after sustaining a left oblique strain April 16 against the Guardians. Before landing on the IL, Whitlock was 1-0 over four starts with a 1.96 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB over 18.1 innings. How he fares during and after his rehab start Wednesday will determine whether the 27-year-old right-hander will require more than one outing.
-
Garrett Cooper BOS 1B
Red Sox's Garrett Cooper: Not starting Saturday
1h agoCooper is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Washington, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Cooper will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout after going 1-for-3 with an RBI-double in the fourth inning in Friday's loss. Vaughn Grissom will shift to DH while David Hamilton gets the start at second base.
-
Vaughn Grissom BOS 2B
Red Sox's Vaughn Grissom: Starting at DH on Saturday
1h agoGrissom will be the designated hitter and bat fifth in Saturday's game against the Nationals, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
With Grissom shifting to DH on Saturday, David Hamilton will start at second base. Since making his major-league debut May 3, Grissom is 3-for-21 with one double and two RBI.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Shines in Game 3 victory
2h agoHaliburton closed Friday's 111-106 win over New York in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 35 points (14-26 FG, 6-16 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes.
The Pacers needed Haliburton to carry them offensively, and while Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner delivered impressive stat lines, Haliburton was the engine that kept the team going. This 35-point effort was a playoff-high mark during the current season, and he seems to be catching fire after surpassing the 30-point plateau in each of his last two appearances.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Goes for 26 points in Game 3 win
2h agoSiakam logged 26 points (9-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 111-106 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Siakam was remarkably efficient during Friday's win, and even though Tyrese Haliburton grabbed most of the headlines with his 35-point effort, Siakam's impact on offense can't be overlooked. The star big man could be in line for another solid showing in Game 4 of the series Sunday, as the Knicks are extremely depleted in the frontcourt while missing key defensive contributors such as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring).
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Double-doubles, swats three shots
2h agoTurner notched 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 35 minutes during Friday's 111-106 victory over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Turner made his presence felt on both ends of the court Friday, tying his playoff-high mark in blocks while recording his first double-double of the current playoff run. The Pacers need Turner to continue making a two-way impact if they're going to turn things around in the series, especially considering how depleted the Knicks are in the frontcourt with Julius Randle (shoulder), Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) all out for Game 4.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Pulls down 18 boards in Game 3 loss
2h agoHart posted 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 18 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Friday's 111-106 loss to Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Hart didn't do much on the offensive end of the court and barely reached double-digit figures, but as has been the case all year long, he made his presence felt on the glass. The 18 rebounds represented his best output in the current playoff run in that category, and it's worth noting he's grabbed double-digit boards in all but two of his nine playoff appearances. He's averaging 17.1 points and 13.3 rebounds per game in the current postseason run.
-
Donte DiVincenzo NY SG
Knicks' Donte DiVincenzo: Explodes for 35 points in loss
2h agoDiVincenzo ended Friday's 111-106 loss to the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 35 points (12-26 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 44 minutes.
Jalen Brunson wasn't at his best Friday, but DiVincenzo came through and carried the Knicks offensively with a career playoff-high scoring performance, although New York came up short and couldn't go up 3-0 in the series. DiVincenzo has been forced to embrace a bigger role on offense with several key contributors sidelined, but he's delivered so far, and he should be in line for another prominent role in Game 4 with names such as Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (hamstring) and Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) all out.
-
Jalen Brunson NY PG
Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Struggles with shot in Game 3
3h agoBrunson supplied 26 points (10-26 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), six assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Friday's 111-106 loss to the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Brunson's final stat line looks decent overall, but the fact that he needed 26 shots to score 26 points can't be overlooked. The star guard has been one of the league's best players during the current playoff run, and the Knicks need him to be more efficient ahead of a pivotal Game 4 on Sunday. This was just a bump on the road for Brunson, however, as he's shooting 50 percent from the field while averaging 32.7 points per game so far in the series.
-
Arvid Holm COL G
Arvid Holm: Signs overseas
10m agoHolm has signed a three-year contract with Rogle BK of the SHL, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: Deemed day-to-day
19m agoMarchand (upper body) was deemed day-to-day by coach Jim Montgomery on Saturday.
Marchand was forced out of Friday's 6-2 Game 3 loss after taking a hit from Sam Bennett. The 36-year-old Marchand has three goals and 10 points in 10 games this postseason. He'll likely be a game-time decision prior to Game 4 on Sunday. Jesper Boqvist would likely reenter the lineup if Marchand ultimately can't play.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Not skating Saturday
2h agoChytil (illness) wasn't present at morning skate Saturday prior to Game 4 in Carolina, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Chytil played 12:02 of ice time in Game 3, marking his first appearance since early November as he returned from a head injury. There's a chance the Rangers hold the 24-year-old center out Saturday, which would allow Matt Rempe to slot back into the lineup.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Supplies assist in loss
11h agoSoucy logged an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Soucy has found more success in the second round with three helpers over two games after he put up just one assist in six contests during the first round versus the Predators. The 29-year-old blueliner isn't expected to put up a lot of offense while filling a bottom-four role on defense. Soucy has added 24 hits, seven blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-2 rating through eight playoff contests.
-
Quinn Hughes VAN D
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Helps out on power play
11h agoHughes logged a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Hughes is up to six helpers over eight playoff games, and three of those assists have come on the power play. He helped out on an Elias Pettersson tally in this contest. Hughes has added 11 shots on net, six blocked shots and a minus-1 rating while continuing to play massive minutes on the Canucks' top pairing.
-
J.T. Miller VAN C
Canucks' J.T. Miller: Dishes pair of assists
11h agoMiller logged two assists, three hits and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Miller helped out on an Elias Pettersson power-play goal in the first period and a Nikita Zadorov even-strength tally in the second. This was Miller's third multi-point effort of the playoffs. He's up to two goals, seven helpers, 18 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-5 rating through eight postseason appearances in his usual top-six role.
